What is Walking Stars?

New Zealand's first night-time walking half marathon, taking place in Auckland, raising vital funds for the cancer research and relief.

8pm, 25 November 2017, Auckland Domain

Walking Stars is non-competitive and so, with some training, is achievable by everyone! You can choose to powerwalk, stride or stroll, but no running!

We’re here to help you!

As part of your registration you will receive:

  • A fun packed night 
  • A walker T-Shirt is an optional add on
  • $40 voucher to Shoe Science
  • 16 week and 4 week emergency training plan
  • A-Z fundraising guide
  • Walker number and 'I'm walking for' back sign
  • Hydration and refreshments

But we need you too! 

Your registration fee only covers the cost of running the event, so we ask our walkers to do their best to fundraise for cancer research and relief. 

You will be playing a key role in helping raise vital funding for life-saving research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a disease that affects more than one in three people in New Zealand. The Cancer Society of New Zealand receives no direct government support and is entirely funded by people like you.
